Im busy doing my pronto test. All looks fine except for one of the smaller items that I have been asked to do;
They have asked me to enable a Pioneer BD player controlled by RS232 in one room. This is the BDP-LX52 which I have found a RS232 control document for. For general button presses, its codes are written as ' /(Argument)/RU ' in the Pioneer manual. The only problem is I dont have one of these to test my Pronto fomat codes on. I can either write the codes as either;
/A181AF39/RU\r - Ascii format with a Pronto Carriage Return or 2F A1 81 AF 39 2F 52 55 0D - Hexidecimal formats for all parts of the code.
Im leaning towards the Ascii formatted one but was wondering if any of you guys had controlled the LX52 by serial before and could confirm. Worst case I will have to quickly buy one to test on..
As always, thanks in advance!!
Cheers,
Mike

Mike,
I have a LX91 controled via RS232 and you are correct, its the ascii you need.
For example the command to play is "/A181AF39/RU\r"
Hope this helps.
