does anybody know a release date of the tsu9400? my ru950 broke yesterday (touchscreen issue). i was able to fix it with the needle trick, but i want to get a new one asap. preferably a tsu9600, but the tsu9400 would be cheaper and i think it looks better ;)

anyway can i use my rf extender of the ru950? wille the 9400 also be prontoscript aware? (i think scripting has been overdue!)

At Cedia London I was told the TSU400 will be out in "about September" and it will have prontoscript.

The TSU9400 will not work with your old extender as its designed to work with the RFX9600 and RFX9400 extenders.
TSU9600, TSU9400, RFX9600, RFX9400, RU980, RU950, and the good old RU890 which stilll learns codes none of the others will!

It's gonna be hard to beat the 640x480 full VGA display with a 240x320 QVGA display. When you mention looks, are you referring to casing or screen?

i actually meant the casing. a bigger screen is in deed much better, but i think i can deal with the lower resolution. the price is the next big issue since the big one is about 1300 euro here (germany), and i would like to get the extender which is also about 300 euro. i hope the smaller one to be much cheaper. i'm no installer and just play around with the thing for my own home automation thing so the price matters to me personally :)

'about' september sounds good.

thanks for the info.

A bit of info is now posted on the Philips Pronto site.

Two of our guys are at CEDIA on the Gold Coast and will get to see it.

Also a Pronto Script training session is being held this afternoon taken by Guy Roels from Philips Belgium.

ProntoScript does not work in the Simulator. Can only be tested once downloading to the remote.
