Does anyone know of a permanent way to resolve the "C5' HID not found" error that sometimes occurs preventing download to the remote.

In notice from the posts that a number of users have experience this problem

I get this each time I try to download and the only way to resolve it is to go the control panel: system setting and disable one of the HID settings. Unfortunately for me the one that need disabling is the one that controls my keyboard and mouse thus causing me a fairly major inconvenience.

Undocking, resetting, then docking the remote again has always worked for me. I take it you have tried that already?

Tried the re-dock and reset numerous times and have never managed to download without disabling the HID for my wireless Keyboard and mouse. Fortunately I have a spare wired mouse that I can use but the process is a little frustrating.

I presume that there is some conflict between the Pronto and the keyboard/mouse arrangement

I didn't have any problems after the upgrade, but after installing new USB Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Same error message and don't know how to solve it.

Can someone tell me how to correct this problem with the C5 error and HID not found. I do not have any blue tooth keyboard or mouse connected. I have a IBM Thinkpad running Window 2000.

This issue has been discussed in many other threads. In Device Manager, you have to disable all the Human Interface Devices except the Pronto one.
