Working on a job with 5 TSU9600s. All ordered new and less than 2 weeks old.

Out of the box all 5 were completely dead which I found odd. Usually they have a little juice when you switch them on. The first 4 charged fine, programmed them and all is working fine. The last unit respond and work properly while on the charger. As soon as you lift it off the charger screen goes blank and no response.

I have the latest firmware loaded and the same program loaded as the other 4 remotes. Is this just a bad unit? Bad battery?

Any suggestions?

Yes, sounds like a bad battery.

Yes it must be an over depleted battery. You can't do much with it but to change it or as gopronto suggested return to the distributor, let him do the work.

Maybe they were in a warehouse for too long or were not housed an apropriate warehouse (too cold, etc).
