Hi there,

I have searched over 100 threads but have not found a solution. I have the latest firmware on my RFX9400 & TSU9600. I have made a file that runs well without the extender.

When I added the extender it works OK but if I have 2 commands on a button e.g TV On, amp on, jump to TV the TV will switch on but the amp (being the 2nd command) is ignored & then it jumps to the TV panel.

Any channels that have 2 numbers are not executed at all. e.g channel 10 will not even execute the 1 first.

When I go to power off my devices only the first device is powered off & no other devices switch off.

I have set 0.5 second delays & still have had no success. I am using stand alone mode. The network option is greyed out in the PEP2 editor. Can anyone suggest a fix for this also? I am hoping that there is a simple fix, any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried increasing the duration of the IR codes?

I changed it & 0.7 does nothing & 0.8 sends the command for the TV channels twice e.g I wanted channel 10 & got 1100

Changed it to 0.62 & nothing works, then I changed it to 0.63 & it came up again with 1100 when I was after 10! There must be something else that I can do to fix this...

Are they learnt codes or database codes?

If they are learnt, can you post some examples?

Are the emitters in the correct position?

The emitters are in the correct position. The codes for the TV functions are for a PVR device called a Topfield 2400 & they are learned codes that are long & blue in colour so I presume that they are not the cleanest codes.

The codes for the amplifier & Panasonic Plasma are database codes. The code for "0" looks way too long. Is there any way to clean up codes?

Learn them again and make sure you point the original remote at the bottom left of the TSU9600 were the learning eye is. The codes should start with 0000. Turn Raw learn OFF.

Try this for your Topfield,

POWER TOGGLE
900A 006D 0000 0001 20DF 0AF5

OR

900A 006D 0000 0001 04FF 0AF5

Is this your Topfield?

I have relearned the codes using the method that you suggested & the channels are now working OK! Yes that is my Topfield.

I am now going to look at the other codes as they are probably not clean.

Can you send me your Database file?

I am collecting codes for Australian HD/SD/PVR Set Top Boxes for the Only One Remote Database.

I will also check they are clean.

My address is in my profile.

Ok so now I have the channels cleaned up & working fine. Now this is really annoying me. On the home page I have set the amp to power on & switch to various devices but my plasma will not power on.

When I go into the database & test the discreet on & off codesfor the plasma & test them they work fine. I placed an off & on button for these functions on my destop pointing to the functions in the database & they don't work!

Why would they work through the test function in PEP2 but not through the buttons??? HELP :-(

manc01,

Are you using RF extenders? (RFX9400 or RFX9600) I've been through this a few times and it turned out that I was sending to the wrong port on the extender!

Another issue with the extenders is that, while testing IR codes, codes are send directly from the remote. If the extender's emitter is poorly located you may not have enough or may have too much IR hitting the IR receiver on the unit.

Also, testing directly from the database sends the code in isolation. Some devices are flustered if codes are spaced too closely together -- even codes that don't belong to them.

I recently went through this drill with a Samsung TV. Only the PowerOn command had issues. In this case it is impossible to see the IR receiver, one needs to transmit commands while moving the emitter in an effort to "discover" the receiver. I may or may not have found the optimum location. I tried isolating the command with no success. Ultimately, I changed the PowerOn command's duration in the database.

Manc01,

Sorry I have not gotten back to you yet but after looking at your XCF file you have your Panasonic and other devices ON and OFF codes with your Denon Receiver Database codes which you have assigned to a Port on the Extender. If you put the Panasonic Power codes with the Panasonic TV Database codes that are not assigned to any Port and reassign them to your Macro's and Buttons it will fix the problem.

I would replace the Panasonic TV codes you are using with the O1R DB codes named PANASONIC/TV/ALL MODELS. I would also try/use the O1R codes for Foxtel instead of using your learnt ones.

I have cleaned up most of your learnt hex codes and I will send you a DB file tonight.

Cheers
Jason
