Hi,

I want to make something similar to the power off confirmation dialog window (where one button carries out functions). I tried to replicate what's in the All On-off menu (under the "Please wait...") but when I include it as a Jump in the activity it simply flashes the window and skips the user prompting.

How can I make the pronto wait for user input?

1. Create a New Page in the activity. Label it " Choices " .
2. Right click the page and make it hidden. The icon should change color.
3. Add a New Panel with a solid background ( no transparency ). Resize it to hide everything beneath the panel that was visible.
4. Add a New Text panel asking a question like " Do you wish to change power settings ? " .
5. Add 2 New Buttons labeled " YES " or " NO " .
6. In the " No " Button create a Page Jump action "Browse Backward " .
7. In the " Yes " Button add the Power Action with the "Browse Backward " action or add a Page Jump to a different page.
8. In the Original Power Button add a Page Jump to the " Choices " page. Remove the old commands .
9. Test it in the simulator.

Hi,

Thanks. I believe I had performed those steps previously, but, I tried it again. What the pronto does it flash the screen I created then simply skip over the user action of selecting the buttons, it's like it's "not blocking".

How can I setup the pronto to stop and wait for user input, as it seems to just flash the screen and move onto the next action in the list.

Is it a Firm Button or a On-Screen Button that triggers the jump and action ? If it is a Firm Button, make sure the "USE SYSTEM PROPERTIES" is unchecked .Test it . If it does not work , then add a Page Jump to the page " Choices " .

If nothing above worked.

Start a new XCF for test purposes.
A. In the Home Activity add a new page as in step 1 above .
B. Do steps 2-7 above . In step 7 add a 3 Second Delay between the Power Action and the Browse Backward Action .
C. Step 8 In the Home Page , add a Button, labeled " Power ", with a Page Jump Action to the " Choices " page .
D. Test in the simulator.

What should happen.
When you press the "Power" button on the Home page It changes to the page " Choices ". If "NO" is pressed, the Home page immediately appears . If "YES" is pressed, the Power Action is transmitted and after a 3 second delay the page changes to the Home page. You will stay at the choices page until you press a button.

All action list items after the jump to the page you want the remote to stop on need to be removed. From there simply build the action list for each of the buttons on that page used to answer the question.
