Hi all on Remote central Pronto Professional Forum.

I would like to try and pull a project together on here as a bit of an experiment.

I now have a some hardware that will allow you to request the amount of Power being consumed via RS232 of your home.

I haven’t been able to find out who wrote the Protend Script for the 9600 which was a "Data logging software" which would be useful , but hopefully will pop on to this tread.

Please feel free to make any comments, would also be interested to hear from installers , do you think your customers would pay for this if they could see how much Power their home was consuming?

In sweden there is a new law that when you sell a house it must have a declaration of the energy consumption. This might be a good and easy way of taking one step in the right direction.

I guess there could be a market for this.

Yes, I've had a look around and found an IP based system before, but at around £600 + CTs felt it was a little too much. If you could get down in the £400 area then I think its a go....

Dupe...

Some time ago I've developed such a thing. I know not what European electricity meters are compatible.

Thanks to Schmuzli!
With his timer experience I wrote the data logger for weather data. It is logging hourly the weather values for temperature, wind speed, pressure... and is showing these data as a curve for the last week.
I could do some adjustments to make it work for energy data on RS232. If you are using the KNX/EIB system you may also use it with our IP gateway.
