Hi Chaps,

Hopefully a simple question but I have trailed through the reference material and cannot find the answer.
I am trying to program the hard buttons with things like preset UP, preset DOWN, tune UP, Tune Down and want to label the banners above the buttons with a directional arrow instead of the text for Up and Down.

How do you label a banner / button with both text and a symbol. I have noticed on some of the driver files that it seems possible but when you look at the text field, it looks like a full stop..

Have tried, CTRL and alpha, ALT and alpha buttons but cannot get it right..

Thanks,

Mike

You use ProntoScript to do this during page setup via the Page Script such as this example for Firm 1:

GUI.widget('PS_FIRM1').label='Play \uF087';

(Play Symbol, I think, - see appendix of Dev Guide for character codes) or see:

PEP v1 allows you to add both symbols and text to a given panel/button without having to use ProntoScript. The same can only be accomplished in PEP v2 using ProntoScript.

Another feature lost in translation...
PEP v1 allows you to set the text color to be used for the released and pressed states of a given button independently. This includes the firmkey labels as well. PEP v2 does not.

LowPro,

See the link to document posted by Bob Brandes. It explains how to copy/paste from CharMap.exe into PEPv2 to support mixed symbols and text.
