Hi,
Wondering if anyone else has struggled getting connected to a wireless network using TSU9300 (or even better fixed such a problem) ?
I am trying to use PadOne Pronto Ed (Windows 7 x64) for 2-way WMC remote music browsing. I do know I have the correct software version from HighDef downloaded and installed on the Media Center PC.
Just can't seem to get the Pronto connected to the Wireless network despite configuring Wireless settings in Pronto Pro 2 and also changing the wireless security config to use WEP64 rather than WPA.
Using DHCP I do not get a connection at all. If I set a manual IP address on the single class C network, I appear to get a connection (the pronto shows a few bars wireless connectivity) but I cannot then connect to the PadOne server IP address (connection failed errors appear in the Diag menu on the pronto (Light\Menu\Key2) ... also when "connected" I would expect to be able to ping the Pronto IP address from another host on the network but cannot - which makes me think the manual IP address is not actually working.
Any ideas or help greatly appreciated!

Ok, I actually just tried the most obvious thing in the world and disabled Wireless security temporarily and straight away everything jumped to life!
So the problem is clearly an issue with Pronto talking to me SECURED wireless network.

Try using Hex Key vs PassPhrase.

Yep, I did try that but will try different configs until it works.
Next problem is that I cant seem to connect the 9300 to a Windows 7 PC running the x64 Padone Server. The i386 XP PC is working fine but in the wrong room.
Really not feeling blown away by this technology if I'm honest!

Search for PadOne and Firewall, there's likely a port that you will have to open up on Windows 7 Firewall to allow PadOne to work properly.
Did you look at the PadOne Site to see if an FAQ exists?

Good thinking - that sounds likely, thanks.
Windows did prompt to allow the application through when I installed PadOne, but perhaps there are other ports in use at the point Pronto tries to connect... or perhaps 1-way was enabled and I need bi-directional, etc.
I'll try turning off Windows Firewall initially. I have a hardware based firewall after all.
