for the life of me i cannot get RFX9600 to talk to CT600.1 via IR in jack on back of CT. i have tried everything. if i bypass rfx9600 and shoot IR out of 9800 i can control the zone i am wanting. but through the rfx, no go. i get the correct port light to light up and everything else on extender works. blu-ray, appletv, etc. also i cannot talk to a denon avr3311 via rear IR in. swap out IR jack for emitter and wahlah. obviously i can leave emitter on but i know i am missing something small. this is first pronto i have touched in years, client specifically requested. this is a C4 swap out. any suggestions please send them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is the only thing holding me back from being paid.

Follow-on from previous thread...

Does the jack on back of the equipment support a stereo or a mono plug? If stereo, you may need to build a converter cable with Mono on one end and Stereo on the other. It could be that you have ground loop issues and will be forced to use the emitter on the front of the equipment. I used to use RFX9400 and had no issues but upon upgrade to RFX9600, I had to do this with Escient MP200 and Xantech powered connector block. Not sure why but ended up having issues.

On the mono plug, tip is IR and ring/sleeve is ground. You may need to consult your vendor for specs for the type of plug and plug pinout for their equipment.

To keep things searchable, I've linked your previous thread as well as this is the same issue and really did not require a separate thread. Please consider re-using same thread next time.

That sucks. Did you try the Low vs Normal output DIP switch? FYI, don't fret if you have to use an emitter. I have a new Motorola cable box that has the IR input jack and I think it uses 5V. I tried every possible combination and could not get it to work either.
