Hello guys;

Suddenly my 9400 reported "Command failure' (no further explanation). I found out that the commands from the 9400 didn't reach the RFC 9400 extender. There was no reason for it: no network/configuration/PEP-changes, only minor adjustments in some images.
Also the Extender Discovery Tool in PEP didn't find the extender altough the extender was fully functioning.
Solution: turn exender off and on, replace the axtender-firmware and the Pront- connection is established again! However, the Extender Discovery Tool still cannot find the extender...

What can I do to avoid this problem in the future?

Thanks, greetings, Rudy

Make sure you are running latest firmware. In the past, I've had to reboot RFX9400 when not running latest firmware the firmware that is available today (20100622).

Also, on my network, the Discovery tool must be running when you flip the switch on Extender to '3' for configure. Also, the Extender must be direct wired to the router for this to work.

Hello Lyndel;

I have the newest firmware (Version: 1.4.5) on my rfx 9400 and on mu 9400 pronto (Version 7.2.2); the extender is network-wired, my Discovery tool only seems to find the extender when switch = 1.
The only solution I have is power off the extender; but must I do this every day..., hope not!

Greetings, Rudy

Hi i see you have the RFX9400 in network mode if you run it in standalone mode does the RFX work properly ?

If it does , then there may be an issue with either a clash of ip address on your network or a problem with the AP or router..
