Hi All I have been doing allot of research on this problem and unable to find a answer. I have run into a hole here. My problem is that I am using the Pronto TSU9600 with the RFX9600. I am using the RS232 for the Yamaha RX-V2700 for controls. Yes I have made up the serial cable with terminals 2 to 3 and 3 to 2 and 5 to 5 with 7 & 8 shorted out at the AV side. All works well except I can't turn the unit On. If the unit is turned on manually and I push a button on the remote the function then works. It show on the amp power on but when in the off state I can't turn it on. I have tried a 0.50sec delay but with no success. Hex code that that is being used is 02 30 37 41 31 44 03. Any help will be much appreciated.

I'm not to familiar with Yamaha, but my guess is there is a energy saving mode that turns off the RS-232 port when the unit is in Standby. I would look in the set up of the unit for such a control and see if that fixes it. I know for a fact this is the case with Denon BD players and RS-232. Hope this helps.
