I need to route two of my four IR outputs to an Aton remote controled speaker selector with volume control. Each speaker on the selector has voltage, IR, status and ground. I assume I don't need to send voltage or status to my RFX9400 but need to know what the wiring in the mono plug consists of. For example, if I strip one end of the plug off, what will be on each wire? What color is ground and what color is IR and do you think that this should work for what I am trying to do?
Thanks in advance.

to be safe use a multimeter to check which wire is connected to the Tip and the ring,
Tip = IR signal Ring = Ground 0V
