Hi
I want to control a C-bus lighting control system and a Nuvo Grand Concerto system using a Phillips Pronto remote control. The Pronto would be RF based, not infra-red. I require meta data feedback on the Pronto from an Nuvo iPod docking station. Is this possible? For the C-bus system I only require one-way control. Thanks for the advice.

Pronto does IR, TCPIP or RS232, not RF.
I don't know about the Nuvo, but the standard approach for CBus is to use TCPIP. You have to study the communication protocols (published by CBus) and then write some scripts to send the appropriate commands (and, if you wish, to receive status feedback). The exact messages to be sent depend on how you have set up your CBus, whether it is wired or wireless, etc. There are a number of threads specifically about Pronto and CBus in the CBus forums.

There's a fair bit of C-bus info in this forum already. Have a look search for "CBus" & C-Bus"

I have written a CBUS library (via RS-232) if you are interested as it is cheaper than their IP interface - would like some form of contribution as it was some weeks work!
