I have two 9600 i have the same file on both of them. After using them for a short time they freeze up. I use the latest software and firmware on both remotes. Any ideas,

Thanks

Sounds like there is something wrong with your confguration. For example, scripts which go into infinite loops effectively freeze the Pronto.

Start by downloading one of the Philips example/demo configurations to your Prontos. If these cause freezing, then there is something wrong with your PC/Prontos. If, however, they run ok then this strongly suggests that your configuration is the problem.

Then run the configuration in the simulator. If ok, this might suggest that there is something wrong with with the way you have set up your networking (e.g. both Prontos using the same IP address). If not ok, then do the debugging using the simulator.

Do you use scripts? If so, did you write them yourself? Infinite loops can effectively only occur in a script.

Do you use extenders? If so, do they ever work?

You correct the prontoscript. What prontoscript do you have running in your configuration? Is there anything in the Diagnostic log? Key sequence to access diag log is:

Backlight-Menu-Firm2 press and hold each one of these in this order.

I am still learning about these remotes. I drag and drop different actions on a standard layout then label the buttons. I think i have it worked out i turned off the network. I was using the network with my ipod fireball sold it. Thanks for the help. I added a few buttons and commands last night then when i tried using the remote only the new commands would work checked the config had to redo a lot of commands why would it do that it has happen a few times.
