I have been playing with a script for web cameras (the one from Rohan Vandeen ipcamera). I have been able to set his generic script up to view a camera at my home and integrate that script into my config. I have tried to do the same with a camera at my office without success. I am a newbe to prontoscript and, please correct me if I am wrong, but it appears that when a script is merged into an xcf file, it cannot be edited????
The problem I have is that the script want a port to find the camera. This is fine for my local camera but does not work on the remote one. I can access the camera image with an ip and the image location. It seems that Rohan's script adds a ":" to the end, expecting to insert a port and that causes a failure.
Could someone (1) confirm that a script in an xcf file cannot be edited, (2) suggest a workaround and/or (3) point me to a script I can edit and then merge into my config.
thanks

Script should remain editable once merged with XCF.
Any TCP/IP connection needs to specify a port. If not otherwise specified try port 80.
I've put up version using http/1.0 and http/1.1 to allow for hest header where needed - some cameras I've seen get a bit funny about the different GET request formatting.
