Hi guys

The guy from Denmark is back, asking for some information :-).

We don't really get these remotes in Denmark, so can anyone tell me the differences between the two remotes and why there's such a huge difference in price !?

Thanks a lot....

Carsten

The TSU9600 is completely customizable. Both the look and function of the interface is yours to create. It's also a brand new remote product from Philips, part of the new Pronto Professional line. In contrast, the RC9800i is an older remote from Philips which is not customizable as the Pronto remotes are. This remote is severely limited in it's capabilities and flexibility as compared to the TSU9600.

To learn more about the RC9800i I suggest checking out the appropriate forum area. I don't have first hand experience with this remote myself. I did recently outline many of the improvements the TSU9600 brings over the Pronto NG line of remotes however. Said post can be found here.

Thanks a lot, helps me to understand.

As I said, in Denmark these remotes are available from Philips, but no dealers have these in stores since $1000 remotes can't be sold in Denmark (I guess danes are cheap - or don't understand the need for these :-))....

I have the SBCRU990 and I'm very happy with that, I'm looking for something for my parents...

Thanks again.
Regards

Carsten
