I have read that you can use Vista with pronto edit as long as you use it under XP under properties. The problem is downloading the file into the remote itself.Has anyone figured this out or am i missing something.

Does not work. The new release due out shortly works OK with Vista.

Just like you, I'm running Windows Vista and cannot connect via USB to the TSU9600.
I check here at RemoteCentral.com and also at http://www.pronto.philips.com/
everyday to see if the update is available.
The ProntoEdit Pro software update with Vista support will be here shortly and we have no other choice than to be patient. They're probably working out the last few bugs or testing it right now so rest assured... It's coming!

Philips now say July for the update but that's alright, we're almost there.
