„Pronto 2 AppleTV Script“

Empure is pleased to bring you our fully bi-directional “Pronto 2 AppleTV Script”!

With this easy to set-up script you can control any AppleTV device with your Philips Pronto Smart Remote and use it like any other music server – with each and all of the big advantages of the AppleTV product.

This dirt-cheap multimedia server stays always synchronised with your iTunes library (when set to automatic synchronisation within iTunes) and can even play back all of your DRM protected music!

Our script allows you to browse through your music library sorted by playlists, albums, artists, songs, composers and genres. You can furthermore browse your audio books, movies, music videos, podcasts, TV shows. A full blown search function as well as an alphabetical quick-guide help you to find your precious music fast and conveniently.

Volume control can be configured to be used locally (AppleTV Audio Out) or your standard volume control (i.e. your A/V amp).

Features:

-Small PC-based software to register your Pronto on your AppleTV
-Easy to set-up and fully bi-directional Philips Pronto Script – just punch in the AppleTVs IP address
-browse your music via Playlists, Artists, Albums, Composers, Genres
-Real text search
-Unlimited Prontos supported (TSU9600 and/or TSU9800)

Come see us (and the script, of course) live at the ISE 2010 in Amsterdam at booth 1H5 and 1I5 (with audio network) - right next to CRESTRON !!

Keep it rocking!

Sounds great. Do you have a version for the 9400 as well?

Video will go online this week (screenshots already at www.empure.de)!

Prices will start at 49.- EUR, 70 US$ for 1 AppleTV, 1 Pronto Set-Up (Pronto and AppleTV not included;) )

There will be a bulk set-up with up to 5 Prontos and a custom installer version with unlimited support and unlimited AppleTVs and Prontos.

And yes, we are also working on internet radio - but this will be not in included in the first release!

Keep it rocking!

Look interesting and useful.

Not knowing a great deal about Apple TV, is it possible to have 2 or more units on the network and if so will this script allow you to access/control multiple units?

Kind regards

Zed

This will be available in max. 2 weeks time.

paxtond: no cues, Apple uses playlists but you have to create them using iTunes...

march or june ? is there any other difference between 9400 and 9600 than the display size? so if i'd buy 9600 version, won't I be able just tgo mod it to fit 9400 display ?

In theory you can do that since you don't have to modify the protected library only the graphics! But you really have to know what you're doing and need to be fit in javascript...

Due to all those questions: Our script controls as of now ONLY all the music server functions of the ATV not the on screen menu via IP. You can control the OSD only via IR so far!! So if you plan to use your ATV connected to a display you still have to use IR to control the OSD!

This script was developed to help people who run into the dilemma of having a customer who owns an iTunes library and wants to access all his music (and always have it synchronized with all his music, even the DRM protected stuff) even when his computer is not running.

Of course, we would love to control the OSD as well, but that is still something we are working on and is NOT part of this release - of course, it will be added FOR FREE as soon as we got this working...
