When I click on tools - simulator I get the following box that pops up...
Unexpected simunaltor guest exit
Then I click OK to get rid of the box and the simulator starts..
But the simulator "screen" is blank
BTW I have no extenders.
Any help is greatly appreciated
regards,
Giovanni

I did a search for Guest Exit and found this. [Link: remotecentral.com]Might the problem is caused by an Activity.scheduleAfter() vs using CF.activity().scheduleAfter()?

I get exactly the same problem. I have been using the program on the same PC for a while without a problem, suddenly today I can't successfully run the simulator. All I get is an unresponsive simulator and message 'unexpected simulator guest exit'???
As rkba_net notes I get the same problem when opening a blank project - so nothing to do with programing.
Downloaded and installed 2.4.23.0 but no change. I'm suspecting it is probably something to do with the computer but it's beyond me.
Anyone got a clue? Emailed pronto team but so far no response. The message must point to something specific.

In XP and Vista64 I had been experiencing simulator problems. After about 10 simulations, the simulator would get into some sort of trouble. "unexpected simulator guest exit" was a common error. Crashes were more likely if I was or had been using the ProntoScript Console.
I don't yet have extensive experience with the v2.4.23.0 simulator, but it seems to be more robust in this respect.
My impression is that the v2.4.23.0 simulator loads faster, but there is some sort of background startup process that runs for a while.

Old thread, I know, but google took me here and others might follow.
I had the same problem (PEP 3, Windows 10 64Bit).
Starting PEP with "run as administrator" fixed it.
