Hi

Please help, I recently purchased this brilliant controller and have spent a few days learning how to program it (none of my kit is listed in the database!). I have managed to learn all my Denon DVD 1930 codes and it works great. However I am having real trouble trying to learn the Denon 3802 AV Receiver codes. I using the same technics as I did with the DVD and how the instruction states, but nothing will work. The volume for instance either increases by 17 or so units each time or when decreased drops by 1 and stops?

Also the IR codes for DVD player in the database are in black font colour but for the AV receiver they are blue. Does this show that they are incorrect?

I am new to this type of remote so is there any rules for learning AV receiver codes that I should be following.

Many thanks

Hi

Please ignore the above. I just held the AV remote closer to the Pronto and it works perfect now.

Cheers

Hi again

Sorry I still need help. This time the volume is increasing 34 units each time the button is pressed. The HEX code is now in black font so I guess its now correct but why does it still jump so many units and not just 1 each time?

Hi -

Why don't you try the codes for the Denon 3806 listed in the factory data base or at least the volume up and down functions. Most of the basic Denon codes are the same from unit to unit.
