I'm trying to control a device using RS232 codes. I have gone into 'Device Properties', selected the 'Settings' tab and ticked the box for the serial extender. But when I go down to the 'Use Extender Port' dropdown, the only options that appear are the four IR ports.

I would have thought the RS232 ports should appear as options - where am I going wrong?

The "Device Properties->Settings" tab for a given device is only used for designating an IR port on either a RFX9400 or RFX9600. You designate which RS232 port to use when adding a given RS232 command to an action list via the "Add RS232" option.
