It doesn't talk to the RF unit it talks to the wifi pieces. What RF unit do you have?

You cannot use an RF Extender with the 9600. What are you trying to connect to?

What is the model of the extender RFX9400 or RFX9600? If it is RFX6000 or RFX6500, you need a different extender.

Hey guys.I`ve got the extender RFX 9400.I`ve manage to connect to this via RF,but when i press a command on the pronto its either very slow or says that command failed. Is it better to go wi fi rather than RF ? Only when i tried this via a router like the manual says i could not connect to the website to configure the extender. Is the serial extender a better option and would the response be quicker when i press a command.

The RFX9400 only does WiFi. You are actually comparing standalone WiFi with networked WiFi.
