If you are planning to order a battery pack replacement from ProntoBattery.com be forewarned. They do not always deliver even though they have taken your money up front. I ordered a battery pack from them and they have offered one excuse after another and now won't even respond to my email.
I would suggest you find another source.

Wrong forum. This should be posted to the NG and Pronto Forums. ProntoBattery does not offer batteries for the TSU9600.

I am currently having the same problem. I purchased the battery pack about two weeks ago and paid through my Paypal account. After corresponding with Eric Remy three times, all emails stopped. I do not know what has happened. My last email today asked if he was ill or did he take off, like a bandit with my 54 bucks. Please help!!!

To all who give a crap. The ProntoBattery.com site has a link for order status. Click it and you'll be routed to Tom Greene's Blog Site.

I think Shiftlock (I think he's the owner of this site) has screwed many people. I wouldn't send him the money for a single postage stamp, let alone a battery.

Looking back at the purchase I made on 9/21/2004 when the site was legetimate, the PayPal payment went to [email protected]. The PayPal link now goes to [email protected]. Perhaps this is not the the original Eric Remy or perhaps the original has become less reputable, but either way I would not order from that site.

I just spoke with Mr. Foreman via telephone and he indicated that he does not own this site nor was he aware that his personal information was linked to this website. He is going to contact enom.com and attempt to get this situation resolved.

So, the fraud saga continues.

Ordered a battery and paid via PayPal. Waited 2 weeks without getting a battery or a single email response. When I shot emails to Carlton and Lyndel's suggested email address, I immediately got a response from Eric and a day later, the battery in a FedEx overnight envelope.

He apologized for the delay as he is having computer problems and asked me to relay this message:

"If there's a thread about this on Remote Central, can you please have the people who have placed orders and not received them send me an email with their name, address, and approximate order date to [email protected]? I want to get this squared away with everyone. Thanks very much."

Eric

I am now satisfied that he did not willfully set out to scam people but may be caught up in an unfortunate set of circumstances.

I have a computer. I don't run a network business. However, if I ran a network business and my computer was not working, I would be going to Starbucks or an Internet Cafe to check my email on a daily basis. I hope what you say is true but I would not hold my breath.

Alot of good will has been lost based on experiences of others posted here. IMO, it will take a 180 degree turn to restore faith in this business here on RemoteCentral.
