Is there a free or limited functionality version? I am also very curious as to whether or not your timer continues to work when the remote is not docked.

Your document fails to mention any requirements for remote to be docked when timers are defined or whether or not the PS_BACKLIGHT widget is used to keep the screen active.

The Pronto Timer is functional even though the Pronto is not docked. For the presence simulation which should be able to last at least for a few days, it is advisable to dock it as the battery of the pronto could run out of charge.

Each timer has a botton, starting the timer according to how you program it. This botton can be configured in the Pronto Edit, with your own designed actions for your timer devices.

Unfortunately a demo version is not available yet.

I wonder if there is a scheduling timer
synchronized with the time control

ex.: I would like to trigger a command all the 11h am
16h pm and the other

So this means you keep the backlight on all the time? Not very efficient yet this is the only way to guarantee that your timers run when they are supposed to. I would also like to most importantly note that this behavior/requirement is not mentioned in your documentation.

Dear Friends, I bought the Ready Timer for some time, it works perfectly, both in the dock as outside it, with or without the backlight being on, works just like any other system Crestron or AMX.
Excellent work, multi-language interface, easy to program.
In our show-room, triggering the the Blackout 5:30 AM because the Sun, 19:30 PM off the all Air-conditioned and the Theater System.
Very good work guys, I recommend!

Hi Lyndel

Of course you are absolutely right that the PRONTO should not fall into standby mode as the timer functionality cannot be monitored anylonger.
The PS_BACKLIGHT function is one possibility. I have chosen a different approach however, setting the Wireless Timeout to „Twenty Four Hours“.

Surprisingly the pronto does not fall into Standby even after 24 hours. It appears that this setting means for the timeout not to be triggered at all.

In my oppinion this is a more ecological solution as the background light does not stay on all the time.

My Pronto runs more than 4 days straight without being recharged. Another advantage is that the user does not need to go with this wireless timeout setting of 24h. If he chooses a different timeout all he has to remember is to put the pronto back ino its craddle and all the functions are monitored at all time.

In order for you to get a better impression of the ProntoTimers, I have made introductionary video that shows the quick setup. You can find the video clip on my new English product page.

Have fun!
Greetings Schmuzli.

Really great work,
is this a bug in the OS that allows timer working with Wireless Timeout to „Twenty Four Hours“ and Pronto not docked?
I often thought about some trending functionality of phisical variables like room temperatures...
If they are stored as global variables this should be possible with this tool??!!

Quite a fantastic idea to have the timer read out values on a regular basis and have them stored in global variables. This would indeed allow a graphical analysis: With ProntoScript and some effort this would be quite possible.

In your e-mail you suggested also “level of consumption” and “ph-value of your swimming pool”. Since I don’t have a swimming pool I would suggest to build the “level of consumption”…;-)

I hope that there will be others that join our enthusiasm for the possibilities that want to be explored. Thinking about it I’d be all up and running if someone was to sponsor me a nice swimming pool…;-)

Not a bug. Just taking advantage of the design of the software. The design works such that the remote will do a hardware interrupt (wake up) about every 56-57 seconds to keep wifi alive and when it does, the timer ProntoScript will be allowed to run.

I bought this device a few days ago, but I don't understand step 8 of the installation guide, which is:

8. Copy the line [of code from the timer instructions] into all the page scripts of the pages the timers should control.

I'm trying to get the alarm to turn on a satellite box, so I have inserted a 'function-on' satellite box command in the timer's actions to do that (although that's step 10). So in that situation, where is the 'page' that the timer is controlling?

As far as I can see the timer isn't controlling a device page, because in PEP2 you just use commands from My Database.

However, possibly it doesn't help that I haven't used PEP2 much until now...

Hi Marcus

In regards to your question about step 8 of my installation guide, I would like to give you following precisions:

In order for your timer that you have set and underlied with actions, such as function-on for your satellite box to work if your device is on page "home", you will have to copy this line of code:
eval(CF.widget("Code", "TimerCode", "Timer").label)

into the page properties - advanced and set the time to "repeat every 30 seconds".

If the timer wants to be able to control from other pages than you will have to do the same for those other pages, too.

I am not sure I understood your question in all aspects and hope you will find this useful.

Greetingz Schmutzli

@all: Would you find a timer function, which allows you to trigger timer based on daylight (sunrise and sunset) useful?
