FYI.......My Escient FP-1 just updated itself to version 4.2.6.0. Since then I cannot fully resync my iPod. It gets hung up at the same spot about a quarter of the way through. For anybody else that has this fireball, you may want to NOT update in case this update has bugs. If anybody else is experiencing this, please let me know.
had to call escient support and they gave me a code on the remote (8020 - enter) I think to get into the back end diagnostics and restore the unit to the original factory settings. It seems to be working fine now.
