As I'm still cracking at programming with PEP1 for use with a TSU9600, I'm lusting after the larger screen of the TSU9800. Since I am well into my way of programming (especially with adding commands to my database, which has been a chore), am I correct that if I want to go the route of the TSU9800, I need to use PEP2?
If true, am I correct that I can convert from PEP1 the programming I've done, for purposes of loading to a TSU9800.
Or, hopefully, I could simply use the TSU9800 with PEP1?
Thanks,
Nick

You can only use PEP2. To upgrade to PEP2, simply follow Philip's instructions for ensuring that all IR Codes are in My Database, then open it in PEP2.

Use PEP2. I've finally converted my 9400, 9600 and 9800 to PEP2. Once you get used to it, you will find it to be a great upgrade. It has its differences, but you will get used to it... SJ

Let's assume I complete my programming using PEP1, on the TSU9600. I then decide to go to the TSU9800. Apart from the IR codes, will I able to convert the program to PEP2?
Thanks,
Nick

In theory yes, in practice so far it has never been a problem for me.

It always has for me. Remember however I do not use the IR data base, but do use Prontoscript extensively. If you have properly migrated the IR data base from Pep1 to PEP2 there should be no issue.

Nick, as I said earlier in this thread:
"To upgrade to PEP2, simply follow Philip's instructions for ensuring that all IR Codes are in My Database, then open it in PEP2. "
It is very straightforward.
