I´m trying to program a macro with the commands:

"mute" (amp 1)
time delay: 0,2sec
"mute" (amp 2)

Amp 1 is connected to extender 1 (RFX9400); Port 1
Amp 2 is connected to extender 2 (RFX9400); Port 1

If I send this command, the extenders are lighting green very short (not as long as normal), but no action is the result. If I send the command only for one amp (= one extender), I have no problems.

Software tried: PEP 1 and PEP2 = same behavior

Any ideas what is wrong?

Thank you in advance

You may want to edit your original post/subject. It is "Macro" and not "Makro"

PEP1

Presumably you are using 1-way 232 actions in PEP1. Can you confirm that in PEP1 that the actual 1-way commands target 2 different extenders and that the commands do indeed exist in a device that targets the specific extender?

PEP2

I'm less experienced in this area but presumably there are 2 separate components that are in use RCVR1 and RCVR2 and that both components target a different extender?

This may be a question that you want to submit to Belgium if the above is indeed the case. prontoteam at philips dot com.

Dear Lyndel,

thank you for respond.

1) How do I rename the thread name?

2) yes; amp 1 is clearly combined with extender 1; 1 way action (ir)
amp 2 with extender 2; 1 way action (ir)

If I mute room by room : no problem (yes the commands are existing; otherwise the room by room muting wouldn´t work).
General mute not possible. There is also different behavior from the green feedback led (BUSY).
PEP 1: with linked commands

To edit the subject line, edit your first post. That simple.

I'd fire q question off to Belgium at this point. I personally do not have 2 RFX9600's to test this out.

Don't have 2 of those either at least not in production. Have 9400 and 9600 extenders but no time for next week to do any testing. In training for work and busy evenings then out of town all weekend.

When you have more than one action on a button, it becomes a macro and each command is transmitted a short, fixed amount of time. This time may not be long enough.

When you have just the one action on a button, the IR code is transmitted as long as you have the button pressed.

You will probably need to adjustt the duration for each IR code for them to work in a macro.

Dear Peter,

thank you for information.
I tried different duration times and I also tried command repeat:

mute 1
mute 1
time delay: 0,5sec
mute 2
mute 2
= not working

Next test: 1x RFX9400 extender
amp 1 = port 1
amp 2 = port 3
no problems

It seems that it is not possible to integrate units connected to different extenders to combine in a macro.

This is not true.

I have installed a system with a RFX9600 and a RFX9400. Macros work fine sending to both RFXs!
TSU9600, TSU9400, RFX9600, RFX9400, RU980, RU950, and the good old RU890 which stilll learns codes none of the others will!

Adjusting duration is NOT duplicating codes in an actionlist. It is actually editing the IR code and setting duration to something other than default.

If you are still having problems after doing this, please post the IR code data you are attempting to use.

As Dave says, this should work. :)

I know the difference between duration and duplication. I tried both.
Here the codes (RC5):

AMP 1; mute
5000 0000 0000 0001 0010 000D

AMP 2; mute
5000 0000 0000 0001 001D 001F

Here the codes (RC5):

Are they Marantz Receivers ?
If so are they the same model ?
If not what models are they ?

If they are both Marantz Receivers.
Is this MUTE TOGGLE ID1 ( Device:16 and Function:13 ) ?
AMP 1; mute
5000 0000 0000 0001 0010 000D

Is this MUTE TOGGLE ID2 ( Device:29 and Function:31 ) ?
AMP 2; mute
5000 0000 0000 0001 001D 001F

Have you tried sending two different commands in a Macro to see if it does the same thing ?
e.g.
MUTE (AMP1)
1 or 2 sec DELAY
CD (AMP2) Duration 0.5 sec
