I have just sent out the newest release for the SlimPronto 9600 and 9400. As usual I have received some rejections for various reasons from some mail recipients servers.

Please contact me if you did not receive your copy

I suggest you first use the stand alone system supplied to verify it. If that does not work let me know. I run it on a 9800 and a 9600. Set debug to 13 and you can then see some messages in the diagnostic log, or by using the debug buttons as described in the manual.

Hi.

The module works like a charm, It was just me that screwed up somehow.

One thing i like about this new version is that you included the "search library" button to more pages, But what happened to the "switch pane" button?

The new version is fully tested with 7.3.2

I believe the cursor left right will act in the same manner as the switch pane did. Also just touching the pane header will switch panes. there is only so many buttons and so much realestate. I eliminated the switch pane as it duplicated the cursor left right buttons

When youre at the main page the cursor left/right will let you switch pane, But otherwise the cursor duplicates the menu up/down command, And thats how it should be when i think about it.

Sometimes i forget that the Pronto is a touch screen, Its so easy to just tap the screen for switching pane.

I'm planning on buying a Squeezebox and use it with my 9400. Does it matter if you use Slimpronto with the Duet or the plain Squeezebox?

I will use a Qnap TS-109 with SS7 installed.

Slimpronto has no idea what the player is. It talks to Squeezecenter and that is how it finds out about players. Ergo it works the same with any and all players.

I jave no idea what a Qnap TS-109 with SS7 is. You can also save money by just buying half of the duet, the receiver. You then need to install the receiver using some tools that are available through the SlimDevices forums. I happen to like the Duet controller a lot, but I still use the Pronto as it handles everyting not just the slim players.

I'm not sure what's best, the classic, duet or plain receiver?
One advantage of the classic is that it has a display but other than that the reciever would work just as well then.

Audio wise they all seem to be the same, especially if you are using the digital output which is before the DAC's. I have all of the Slim Players as I do beta work for them and Slimpronto has been tested with all of them.

I really like the slim squeezbox for casual listening, and the receiver is very nice for a custom whole house installation as it is easy to hide.

The duet controller is very cool and works with all the players for the same reason SlimPronto does.

Just send me an email (see my profile) and I will send you the ordering information. Be sure to specify 9400 or 9600/9800
