I have a 9600 that I have installed inmy network. I can ping the box from any computer in my network. My issue come when I try to use the extender discovery tool. The extender discovery tool will not find the extender.

When I enter the info in my tsu 9600 to connect I cannot connect to the extender. I set a fixed ip 192.168.0.42
default gateway 192.168.0.1
subnetmask 255.255.255.0
I have rechecked my ssid and disabled all encryption in an effort to connect. does anyone have any suggestions? Tech suppor at phillips is no help they keep telling me it is my ssid

Thanks in advance for any help

In your TSU9600 config, you do not have to set Fixed IP in the editor to connect to an extender with Fixed IP. Have you tried this approach?

Also, can you connect to yahoo or any other site directly from the Pronto using a ProntoScript example such as the Meteo Weather feed?

What I'm trying to isolate here is where the problem is. Is it with your Wireless Route and TSU9600 communication or is it inside your network such that the Pronto cannot talk to RFX9600.

What brand of router are you using?

I am using a linksys n router. My TSU 9600 cannot find my RFX 9600. The keeps displaying connecting in the upper left hand corner. I have been to the diagnostics scrreen on the remote and have no error log. I have switched to another rfx 9600 extender and still have the same problem. Phillips told me that I might have a bad extender.

I always turn it off when I have used a g/n router. I looked at another post listed about the best router and a few people seem to do the same.
The first time I used one I forgot to put the latest firmware on both the extender and the pronto and I could not connect either.
I also removed any password so all I needed was the ssid.
Hope you don't think I trying to teach you to suck eggs but I found the basics are normally the problem.
Once i got connected then I added the password in. By the way you never mentioned wep or wap.
Also sometimes I had to set a stattic ip on the pronto, which I always do now as I hope good practice.

like TEZ1701 said: set the router on B/G only
That helps a lot.

Have you configured the setup switch on the back correctly?
