I am only an amateur and I have seen no reason to move to V2. Actually, I may have seen reasons NOT TO move to V2. I have one question though; is there any incentive to install the latest firmware update to the 9600? That firmware seems to be meant for V2 functions and I have read that some have had issues with the firmware upgrade. Any thoughts?

Try the latest. I run it with linksys G router with no noticeable problems. The newer N routers sometimes have issues but my old rock-solid linksys WRT54GS and WAP54G does not usually present any issues.

And, you can back down to previous firmware if you run into problems.

Thanks Lyndel. I'm curious though, for a PEP V1 user, is there anything to gain with the latest firmware?
