This is perhaps a trivial question, but I cannot make my pronto 9600 to jump and execute to a different page. Here's the problem: i create a button and assign a jump and execute action to it. In the simulator everything is ok: the remote jumps to the new page and executes the macro. But when I download the configuration to the remote, the button does just nothing. I can hear the click when I press the button, and it also changes state. But nothing else happens. A simple jump action works, in the simulator and in the remote. Can you help me fix this ?
Thanks for your help

I hope the jump is the last action for the button since no items in the action list of a button will execute after a jump takes place.

If you are expecting that script on a button will be executed when you 'link' to that button in a regular ActionList using PEPv1, it will not and most likely will never be supported based on architecture of the platform and some limitations with the underlying Spidermonkey Javascript engine.

Are you using ProntoScript on the button and using this.executeActions();?

If you are not familiar with the above question, please see the ProntoScript FAQ on the Philips website where it talks about executing the actions in a button that ALSO contains ProntoScript.

Barry, are you sure about the above? I thought that the actions continued to execute but it was the script that was terminated.

Also, you cannot jump to a page that that has no buttons, or has buttons which do not contain actions.

Lyndel, you might be correct. The script definately terminates, I thought the action list also did, but I could be wrongs as all my action lists only a single contain Jump (:-)

My experience has been that ONLY the script terminates. The actionlist will continue even if multiple jumps are in place.

Yes, correct. This is how 'Please Wait' progress bars are updated using multiple page jumps and still allow for the device macros to execute through.

Thanks for all your answer ... I checked my configuration and made sure 9600 is not using any extender. No problems with script too, because the button is a simple button with just a "jump and execute" action. By the way, many buttons created by the setup wizard in the pronto edit are made that way and does not work on my 9600.
I think The problem could be simply that "jump and execute" actions are new in pronto edit v.2 (they were not supported in pronto edit v1.x) and perhaps they require the last firmware version, which still I need to check on my 9600. I will let you know.

Problem Solved. Pronto Edit V.2 does no more support links to button and introduced the "jump and execute" activity, which is not supported in older 9600 firmwares. A firmware upgrade solved the problem.
