Depending on your style of programming, starting with
separate programs then merging is one way to go, but it
seems inconvenient to me.
True, for a professional, there are advantages of having
small nuggets that one can copy from project to project,
but the merge will create multiple home pages that must
eventually be consolidated.
It is a matter of style. I have a general multi-room shell
that I customize for each job.
I do suggest that you prefix each device with the room
name. Otherwise, editing and trouble shooting macros that
might span multiple devices in multiple rooms can be tricky.
It merges just fine if you do as I described.. (It will still link the to the correct pages) and also make sure you upload it to your panel and check for any errors you get. It's better this way
in my opinion because it's harder to go wrong. Though your way might be just as good or maybe even better..
