For iphone a perfect remote tool is available called "remote"

is the same thing as a script for the pronto available?!?

the software squeezeplayers for mac are useless at the moment
the jave players makes a terrible sound.

so i am looking for a solution without "Squeezecenter" like the direct controlling of itunes.

thanks
tom

I'm very interested in this too. Would love to be able to control iTunes using my Pronto and not have to switch back and forth with my iPhone.

I've wanted something like this for some time, and I don't think such a script exists at this time. I settled for setting up my iTunes pc as a server for ProntoSqueeze, a program that works similar to a Sonos controller. SlimPronto is another app that basically does the same thing. Google or search the forum for those programs to get more info.

As I told you in an email, the problem you appear to be havng is Not pronto related. It has to do with the Squeeze Center soft player running on a MAC. I suggested that you discuss it on the Slim devices forum as they are very helpful there and the issue will be properly worked. Have you done that or are they ignoring you?

To get rid of the sound problem, downgrade your Java.

I've downgraded to an old version and sound is now excellent for me.

Switching the JRE back to the old 1.4.2 version will do it. You can do this via Applications:Utilities:Java:Java Preferences.
