Hi Jon

Firstly......this mod is great, and have been using it extensively under Windows XP. Just upgraded to Window 7 (64Bit). Reapplied the mod, PEP 2 works fine, but it no longer triggers the mod when going to simulator.

PEP 2 installs to the following directory:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Philips\ProntoEdit Professional 2\

Note: Subdirectory used to be ProntoEdit Professional 2.0

Most of the entries in msf!.ini and appli!.ini reference
C:\Program Files\Philips\ProntoEdit Professional 2.0\

I noticed that Roti has it working under Vista 64 Bit.

Did you have to do anything special to get it to work?

I have tried editing the .inis to the new directory structure but no luck.

Simulator starts and functions as if mods not applied.

Running latest PEP2 and firmware (under both XP and Windows 7 64Bit)

Cheers

Dominic

I can't be terribly helpful, but I installed it with Windows 7 64bit and it worked perfectly. No issues at all. I didn't migrate the OS with it installed, just straight into Win 7. I am also running the latest PEP 2.

Thanks Steve

Very helpful........means it works......and it's probably a stupid mistake I'm making

What directory did PEP2 install to?

Cheers

Worked for me on the first try (Windows 7 64-bit).

Thanks, Jon.

I must be doing something terribly wrong:

Windows 7 x64
ProntoEdit 2.4.18
Renamed appli.exe and msf.exe to appli!.exe and msf!.exe
Copied the new files in the folders
Change Program Files in both ini files to Program Files (x86)
Added original and new exe files to DEP exclusion
Disabled firewall
Reboot

No TCP/IP in simulator, tried with wireless and with ethernet, both fixed and DHCP.

Changing the default view mode also doesn't work (100%->200%)

You posted you renamed appli.exe and msf.exe to *!.exe.

You only need to add  when you rename the two .exe files.

Example:  appli!.exe and msf!.exe not appli*!.exe

If I uderstand you post correctly.

Other than that all else seems right.

* is a wildcard (test.txt = *t.txt), so that's what I did. But thanks for having a look. I changed it in the text above to make it more clear.

Edit:
Fixed! UAC needs to be off aswell. This probably has to do with the virtual store.

TCP works, UDP doesn't, I think it's not forwarded to the simulator. The default view (2, 200%) also doesn't work.

Hello all,

I discovered this possibility only now, so i sent PM to Jon to receive me too the needed files, if possible.
I'm seeng anyway that he is not present on this forum since December 2013, so my fear is that he will not read any PM.
Can somebody that has already the packaged files & instructions, send them to me please? Just send me a PM for email address.

Sorry for the bothering, and thanks to anybody that can help me.

Hello again, one question more related to Pronto Simulator then to RC.
Can i launch the simulator (with a specific configuration file), directly from windows 7 command line? I mean without starting pronto pronto edit, load configuration, etc.

I would need to automaticly launch the simulation of a configuration file.

Thanks and BR

Is there a way to do this in PEP 3?
