Recently got the Panasonic's 511 IP camera only to realize that it didn't come with power supply.
As I don't have any POE switches/routers, I had to hunt for an adaptor.
Radio Shack had one but I had to buy a power supply with it only to cut it off a foot from the plug and toss the rest.
My question is, where do you get the Adaptaplug D type of plug with a lead from?

If the camera will run on POE power there are a many companies that make POE injectors, that can be placed back at your router/switch location. Of course if you end up needing several for multiple cams then you might as well just get a POE switch.

If you use a POE injector make sure you use one that will work. One I purchased did not work. I use this one. [Link: amazon.com]
