I have tested 4 TSU9600 Prontos and I am quite disappointed with the internal battery results. The new LCD + WiFi RF eats battery very fast. My setup includes the RXF9400 in RF mode. My settings:
- RF wireless communication to the minimum (15 min)
- Turn off screen = 20 seconds
- Turn off key = 15 seconds
- Screen brightness = 50%

With the above settings and the Pronto in standby (not docked/not used) I managed to get only 15 hours of standby time. So, even though the TSU9600 is a beautiful remote, its battery performance is not close to the previous models. I can leave the TSU7500 in standby for days without needing to charge it. Hopefully, some third party company will offer batteries for the TSU9600 that performs better than the factory installed 2100 mAh. Until then, get used to docking your TSU9600 most of the time.

I place my 9600 on the charger every 4 to 7 days. It is used every day.

The RXF9400 does not have an RF mode - I assume you mean standalone. My settings are:

- RFX9400 in standalone
- wireless timeout = 2 hours
- brightness = 100%
- volume = 100%
- turn off screen after 20 seconds
- turn off key backlight after 15 seconds

I am glad to say that after testing another new TSU9600 I can confirm that the TSU9600 battery does perform for a few days and the above replies are correct. My problem was probably related to a bad docking/charging base. After replacing the docking/charging base, the TSU9600 fully charges and the standby last for days. Thanks for replying to this post and have fun with the TSU9600, it is a great remote so far.

I too could use mine for two weeks until I started WiFi connectivity. Now, it is down to only a few days.
