Cover art, artist, song info, elapsed time are all part of the pre written interface which has all of the appropriate graphics on the pages. all of the control functions for the Escient that are used in this interface are already assigned and are delivered across the network. the only ir codes and page you should need to add would be for non player functions like record, setup, options, etc which would be used along with a video output when adding music, editing titles, building playlists and groups, etc. These functions you would need to run in ir, either line of site or through the extender. I simply have a separte page labelled Escient Setup that is used when I need to perform any of these functions.

Fru,

You don't add a standard device, you right-click on the "Home" icon in the tree view and select "Insert Escient Music Server". This inserts a device that communicates with the Escient across the network. For other setup-based functionality, you'd have to use the IR-based device you are using now. Remotecollector spoke of this in his post above.

DNS Server is right configured..
I found out that the problem was the d-lan wireless connection.
if i put the ethernet cabel directly in everythings fine..
i have to configure the d-lan adapters..
thanks,
fru

Hello!
I have now seen that i have to make a new page for the
Escient(in my case the European SE160i)
and learn all buttons from the Database..
but does anybody know if i have to make a panel or something
to get(see) the artist, duration and the cover on the 9600?
Lyndel, how did you do with your DVDM100?
Comes this automatically if the connection between the9600
and the Escient is ok?

Fru,

You cannot see movie info on the 9600 at this time, only music.
