Lyndel,
I would gladly pay US$100 to a script that can control and have the feedback from MyMovies or even the MCE to my pronto!

Hi,

No problem for paying 100UDS! I just do not make the siftware because I do not work in programing area... I'm an A/V installer and I have sereval costumers interested in the possibility to get movie control in Pronto, like the music.

regards,

I have Looked at the mediaportal forum. There has been some projects about 2-way plug-in for pocket pc:s. See for example this thread:

[Link: forum.team-mediaportal.com]

But these projects were never completed. I think Megacrypto, a member on this forum , has used one plug-in for sending commands one-way from the Pronto to MediaPortal, don't now if it possible to use the serverside for 2-way. The server code for MediaPortal is in the thread in someone is interested.

This may be slightly of target but has anyone looked at intergrating Windows Sideshow gadgets into the Pronto?

I note that MS have just released Sideshow gadgets for Vista MCE including the ability to browse the EPG, schedule recordings, start playback of content (TV, music, videos, pictures) and more.

Yeah a script for My Movies would be awesome on the remote and I would definitely pay for it just because it would be cool to show off....

But that being said, how is it practical? I mean, you're going to have to have media center up and running along with your tv anyway to actually view the movie once you start it from your remote, so why not just choose the movie that way?
