The free Prontoscript Library is only for personal use and will be locked to your control panel. If you want it send me a RC Mail with your pronto serial number (the one in your settings page on the panel, not the one on the sticker on the back), Pronto type, player type and email. (Example: 000100333, TSU9600, DVD3910, [email protected])

This should work on all Denon CD, DVD and Bluray players/changers. Confirmed to be working:
DVD-2500BT (Bluray)
DVD-3910 (DVD)

You will receive the modules above so you have a sample. All graphics can be changed.

V0.x (September 6, 2008)
Posted sample debug script

V1.0 (Januari 5, 2010):
Rewritten sample debug script to module
Extended script to all commands

V1.1 (Januari 10, 2010):
1)Everything written into one object (So if no one uses DenonPlayer in any other script or module it shouldn’t kill anything anymore)
2)GUI easy to change on pagescript
3)Added a button for pausing polling called Poll On/Off (So you can debug more easily, use the Get Status button to get updates once)
4)Controlling multiple players possible (see activity script)
5)Fixed a few small errors with BD output
6)Added feedback GUI to the extra BD buttons page

V1.2 (Januari 14, 2010):
NAK handling
Enabled priority based command queue (buttons before poll)
Fixed buttons in GUI (they where hard to press)
Changed the way the page was updated.

V1.3 (Januari 18, 2010):
Experimental limited (volume, mute and poll) TCP/IP receiver control (just add ip to PARAMETERS page)
Changed GUI to make room for receiver
All buttons on one page

V1.31 (Januari 19, 2010):
Small but crucial bug fix in BD poll
Fixed BD audio+ and audio-

V1.39 (Januari 24, 2010):
GUI update (as the pictures above)
Few extra Receiver TCP/IP commands (direct select volumes, put input on DVD)
Added player Title/Track direct select (see keypad above)
Fixed undefined for audio channel when disc loading
Fixed sending some commands (bug in Block Check)
Pre added extenders 0 to F as RFX9600
Complete redesigned sending command to get a higher commandrate
Added catching of network and settings errors.

V1.40 (Januari 30, 2010):
Home page update
Update to command scheduling
Catch communication errors
Display errorrate in debug

V1.41 (Februari 14, 2010)
Catch and solve extender busy
Try to prevent extender busy
Timing per disctype
Multiple remotes player support
Experimental IP player control (4010D)

V1.43 (March 28,2010):
Added timeout parameter
Added "led" for Audessey
Added play/stop/pause/eject button status

For new users:
Set your network settings in system and extender settings in PARAMETERS.
Also add your extender to the project as RFX9600 (if version <1.39)
If your receiver or player has a standby or powersave feature in the setupmenu it MUST be disabled!
If you use a DVD player instead of a Bluray, change playertype to DVD in PARAMETERS page.
If you want to change anything look at the activity (or page when > 1.32) script. You can do actions based on status there.

Denon receiver and XBMC modules will be done later.

Has anyone gotten the above module to work? My DVD2500BTCI in our demo environment "times out" in the Pronto log. It responds to commands, just does not provide a response to the above code. Any thoughts?

The protocol used for blu ray differs from the protocol used for the dvd-players.

I have now gotten the test code working thanks to sWORDs code... it is a phenomenal module and, even the debug version is snappy. It is also great code to teach scripting!

The new debug module I've send you is 1.6 times slower then the final module, the final will also have more possibilities (feedback from other commands then just from status), error handling (NAK handling from and to remote and retransmission) and priority based (commands before poll) queing.

I've estimated that I need 21 hours for completion, so 5 more today, 8 tomorrow and 8 on friday and it might be good to go.

All versions have been sent out (9800, 9600 and 9400). The 9400 version is untested because I don't have one, I might be able to borrow one this week.
If you RC mailed me and didn't receive anything leave a message here.

Hi,

I have a Denon 2809 receiver which is configured for RS232. You make reference to receiver in your original post. Is there any benefit in me using your module, even if I haven't got a Bluray or DVD player?

Sorry if I've got the wrong end of the stick...

Cheers, Lee
