Hi,

Well I am still learning so this may just be me BUT............

I have ONE TSU9600, THREE RFX9600 , ONE RFX9400

I opened my old file from version 1.1 software in the new v2 software, I went throught and corrected/changed any issues listed (Mainly IR use)

BUT, If I select ONE device and click on say extender ONE, I get the option for which IR to select, Which ever one I select ALL devices now select that IR number.

I dont seem to be able to tell one device (eg HD DVD Player) IR1 and another IR4 (say Blu Ray player)

Actually I just noticed its ALSO if I select extender 1 then ALL devices just to use extender one.......

And if I unselect extender one for one device it removes it from ALL devices.......

Happy to send my file to anyone who might need it to check/resolve this.......

HELP !!!
In case it helps others help me : PEP v2.0.34.0 ,1 x TSU9600 v5.0.6, 3 x RFX9600 v1.1.36, 1 x RFX9400 v1.2.7

Under Building Blocks, Equipment & Codes how many Project Components do you have? The Extender IR Port is assigned at the Project Component level. If you have no Project Components or everything is in a single Project Component (because you had all your IR codes in 1 activity during import), this is your problem. I can easily change the IR port on same extender by clicking on different Project Components.

F1 Help also has information about working with Components spread across the Quick-Start Wizard and Building Block Topics.

Hi,

Thank you. Extenders are associated to components not pages.

Its just that if you highlight an activity (aka v1 device) then you can change the extender BUT the component still stays in a grey highlight and not highlighted in Blue so it is not obvious that you are changing a component setting.

The activity would have been in a blue highlight showing what you last did.

I like the concept of setting IR/RS at component level, better than per screen.

I have 18 components as I have mainly been building in one room, just starting second room and so now setup all the extenders ready for the rest of the project.

Thank you for your help.

Andy.
