Is anyone else having problems with ProntoEdit Pro regarding the ability to see the Recycle bin icon described in the help file under;
"Delete an AV-component from My Database"?

This feature does not appear to be installed on my computer.

Software ver. 1.3.4
IR Fireware ver 2.1.25
Bootloader ver. 1.2.8

Thanks in Advance,
Ron

I'm taking this from memory so it might not be correct but isn't that icon placed on the "My database" window over the list of components to the far right in the row of buttons?

The Recycle Bin icon is NOT the Windows recycle bin. It is a trashcan icon on the My Database dialog window.

Press F1 from the editor and go to the search tab and type "recycle". Select the one topic that comes up. It will show a set of several icons indicating which one is the recycle bin.

On this same page are instructions that you must first delete an item, then click the 'Green' trashcan icon, at which point another dialog will be displayed.

Philips has made great strides to provide solid help in this editor. I reviewed the first cut of the help and found it to be overall, rather stable. I did report quite a few issues during the Beta test that I'm sure will be corrected if they've not been already.

Lyndel,

Prior to posting in this forum, I read the help file regarding the recycle function and its’ different icons. However after reading the instructions several times, it became apparent that there was something wrong. They were not visible in the “My Database dialog window”, in any shape or form.

Having now read your reply, I realize that this is an isolated problem, since the icons are supposed to be there, indicating a problem with PEP installation.

I will uninstall and reinstall PEP and hope it will resolve this problem.

Thanks,
Ron

Ron,

Sorry if I offended you. Just wanted to clarify functionality. If you installed the software under a user account that does not have Administrator rights, this may be the problem.
