I like it so far but waiting to see how media files work (psx9200).
There are a ton of icons in the program so yours might be there. Download the software and see.

I don't know about the icons although the software for each probably includes the same ones. You can get the software from the pronto site - try google.

OK well I went to the different computer to check.... :)
Yes you can add your own icons. I just copy and pasted one of the existing ones so if you add your own you would just need to ensure it's the same size and format.

You will need to provide two icons. One a small size and a larger size. 32 x 24 px and 66 x 50 px. The only way I found was to copy the 2 files into the folder at
C:\Program Files\Philips\Pronto Configurator\QuickStartWizard\Gallery\Favorites\TV\Us national
then the icons showed up in the Configurator.
Nex did you do something different?

The channel icons currently are all .bmp (bitmap) files so i'd stick with that for simplicity. Any half decent image editing software can be used to change the pixel sie of an image...Photoshop, Fireworks, Paintshop Pro. If you want a nice small program to do big batches of resizing, IrfanView is available for free.

Make sure these conditions apply and you should manage: -the size of the icons (66x50px and 32x24px) -the name these icons named exactly like this (example): The 66x50px "CNN_B" and the 32x24px "CNN_U". -file format has to be bitmap (.bmp). -you add your own icons to the right folder... -you have to restart Pronto Configurator after you have added your own icons to see the new ones. ... There is one thing that I'd like to get an answer to - how to wipe out "-" marks after channel icon and channel's name in the favorites list? Now I have ie. CNN - 8 and yes I can take off channel no.8 away in the Configurator but can't remove the "-".

There is one thing that I'd like to get an answer to - how to wipe out "-" marks after channel icon and channel's name in the favorites list? Now I have ie. CNN - 8 and yes I can take off channel no.8 away in the Configurator but can't remove the "-". Funny though, letter "ä" after channel name, ie. CNNä_B and CNNä_U does the trick. I guess some other letters/marks might do the same but this wiped "-" away from my remote. You won't see it in the channel name when downloaded to remote... So first close the Configurator and then (re)name channel (in your channel folder) as stated above and then add it to tv/radio channel in the Configurator. Don't pay attention that it still shows at this point in the Configurator, you won't see it anymore when you download it to the remote. Give it a try...and please comment here if there's another way to do this.

Damn thing doesn't know if it wants to be a Harmony or a Pronto. The scroll wheel is cute, fiddly, and less functional than side-of-screen buttons. The software is clunky and doesn't show database updates until it grinds through another restart. Overall the remote is complicated enough to fluster a DIYer and obtuse enough to piss off an installer.
