Hi folks,
I got my TSU9600+RFX9600 setup OK but no even one IR is working.
Here my config:

TSU9600 connect to a WLAN Router (WLAN sign,SSID + IP in the TSU is OK)
Router connected to the RFX9600. (Ethernet LED on RFX is green)
I can ping the RFX from my notebook over wlan so thats fine too.(using fixed IP 192.168.0.42)

I connected the IR Ports from the RFX to my Pioneer devices via the mono cable.
I programmed the tsu using the factory db for the devices.

The device properties are set to Extender 0 and the correct IR port for the device.

Still got my Notebook connected via the USB cable to the TSU but no even one IR code is send to the RFX using the fast IR test. The Tsu says "sending" but no LED at the RFX is flashing, no action at the devices...nothing. Also after uploading of the config to the tsu nothing happens.

What the hack I do wrong???
Any help on this would be appreciated.
Sascha

I checked now the diagonstic by pressing backlight +menu+ frim2 and figured out:
Extender 192.168.0.42 didn't reply! But I can ping the RFX 9600 on this IP-Address.
Is it Murphys law because I may have a damaged Extender?

Make sure that you have the latest firmware on the extender and the remote. Also you must make sure that the extender and the pronto are on the same network with the same subnet mask.

And i think the fast IR test doesn't use the RFX, but sends IR direct from the Pronto.
So try to put the IR on a button to test the RFX.

Test IR will only send IR out via the Pronto. It does not use the Extender.

Thanks for your feedback Tom and Lyndel.
The pronto and the extender are having both the newest Firmware. Also they are in the same network and subnet. I can ping the extender and the TSU is also connected. I guess that the Extender is damaged. I will put a command on a button now like Tim mentioned. If this won't work either I really have a problem.

Sascha,

you could also try a TOGGLE RELAY command, to see if the problem is in the connection between control panel and extender, or if your extender has problems sending an IR code.

Hi all,
I have the same problem of Sascha.

Connected both the extender RFX9600 and the Control Panel to the network.
Last firmware version.
Network with DHCP.
Same subnet.
Same SSID.
Control panel IP: 192.168.8.2
Extender IP: 192.168.8.3
Router IP: 192.168.8.1
SSID: ProntoNetwork
LEDs: in the extender both LEDs are green (Power and ethernet)
TSU9600: Network Icon working and correct Ip address in the Settings/Info screen

BUT, when I try to send any type of command the extender, I get a "Command failed" in the TSU9600.

And in the diagnostic screen I get:
ID: 0450
Event: Extender 0 didn't reply
OR
ID: 0464
Event: Extender 0 didn't acknowledge command

Is my extender defective?
Is there a way I can check if it is defective before sending it to assistance?

Thanks a lot.

Stefano

Did you check out this FAQ Link and look @ tips in spreadsheet you can download from there? You may know this is here but others may not so please don't get offended if this does not give you a final answer.

[Link: pronto.philips.com]

How is your extender configured in System Properties (Serial or Non-Serial). Is the Extender also configured in the Device Properties? Same extender? Are these RS-232 codes or IR codes?

Hi Lyndel,
thanks for your kind reply.

I have tried all the tips of the spreadsheet but none seems to solve the problem.
I confirm that the extender is configured in System Properties and also in Device Properties as Same Extender #.

It doesn't work with IR, RS232, Relay, etc.
None of the commands are working.
I believe it's a hardware issue.
I will call Philips assistance.

The only thing i didn't see in the thread:

make sure you also set the extenders IP in your pronto file.

I don't see anything else you can check..
