Just wondered if anyone else had come across this problem;

I was setting up a Pronto to switch component inputs using a BTECH 3 way Component Switcher. This is not in the database, so I did the usual thing..

1. Set up the device in My Database.
2. Learned all the codes from the original remote.
3. Tested the codes had 'learned' via Fast Test IR.
4. Created a code page for the device and tested again.

Now, when I tried to operate the switch by linking to the codepage from an activity macro - nothing!

In the end, to get it working, rather than link to the code page, I had to send the IR code directly from the activity macro without linking through the code page. This worked fine. When I reinstate it as a link it ceases to funtion. I know the link is working as I have substitued the IR code in the codepage with another IR code just to check I hadn't made a schoolboy error - when I do this, linking works (in this case to another switch).

Everything gets operated as I want it, so I am not that stressed but this is the only device I have found so far which does not work with a link from the Activity Macro, through to the device code page. Besides there will be more than a few of you out there like me who in this situation would not be satisfied just to get it to work when you know it was a hooky job - you just know its wrong ;-)

Anyone else come across this problem?

I am not using an extender in this instance.

Regards
Brian.

Try playing with the 'Duration' setting for the IR code. You may find that you need to set a minimum value. Not having seen the codes in question, this is the only suggestion I can offer at this time.

Yeah, tried setting the minimum value (which has helped in other situations), in fact I have to set it to .50 to get it to work at all.

Will post up the codes when I fire-up my laptop.
