I am working on my design for the TSU9600 and have looked through the discrete and component file sections and have only been able to find a power toggle for the Motorola DCT6412 and DCT2500. Does anyone here have discrete codes for these cable boxes?

Why do you need to turn off the 6412, all that does is turn off the display on the front? All of the internal circuitry continues to work, so that the STB can get the Guide data and manage any recordings that have been scheduled.

Although I turn ALL equipment off when not in use, I've never turned off the cable box, especially since they started including DVR capability.

There are no discrete codes for these boxes. Leave 'em on.

As stated it before, there are not discrete power commands for those set top boxes. But with the RFX9600 you could condition the power command of such devices based on their state; (e.g. if ON, not power command will be issue). I manage to do it by using a 12 Volt power supply into the switch outlet of the back of the DTC6412 and the "Power sensors" in the RFX9600. That will take care of that!

LOL. I guess there is a good use for all those Wall-Warts.

The only discrete I know of really isn't. Menu Power turns it off and Menu Power Power turns it on
