I don't know this remote. Does it have scheduling features? A new client says that his TV turns on at all hours by itself.
I witnessed this once. The TV and satellite box came on, not sure if the audio system was already on.
This is the only RTI remote. In fact it is the only professional remote, the other two rooms have the factory unit remotes.

Very simple setup.
Samsung LED TV, Comcast DVR, and Bose Cinemate GS series audio.

How are you controlling the units ? If it is just a standalone remote then no, you have no schedule events, only on the XP Processors can you schedule events into the remote.

How is the remote working is it standalone just by itself ? If you think that is the culprit put it in another room that will prove its not the remote.

HDMI could be the cause, turn 1 device on and the other will follow suit if its setup correctly.

Sure no-one is sitting on the remote accidently ?

Shut off those dreaded Anynet and BDWISE features and see what happens.

Hmm, yes the BDWise. Goodpoint. Since there is no other smart remote, etc. maybe this could be it.

Will report back on this when I get back from the site. Should be out there thursday.

In answer to the earlier questions the remote is standalone. Only the RF receiver and a Samsung Bluray player that I neglected to mention are the only things besides the other devices.
So scheduling is in a separate processor then? Which I don't have here so that eliminates that. I didn't see any time/date on this unit so I kinda figured it was not possible unlike the URC remote.

I watched the TV turn on while I was standing there. The Comcast box never turns off. The DVD player I can't remember if it turned on also but if it did and it is also a Samsung maybe this anynet or BDwise is the culprit.

What "rf" receiver, an rm433, rp1, what? If it's only in standalone mode, there shouldn't be an rf receiver????

If there is a processor(RTI) make sure your system zone code is off of 0

I had a similar issue where a room powered on several times in 1-2 days and then again several months later. i was told to move the zone code off of 0

moved it up to 5 or something and havent heard a word from them since

could have been a fluke??

Or, could be that the TV is networked, and being turned on when another is being turned on.
