I'm currently building a single room entertainment center in our living room. I've used the Harmony hub for another room I built in the house. But that was for my man cave. I want to build a more robust system in the living room. I'm looking at incorporating the Pro24.r in the living room. In researching equip. I found out the Pro24.r can only be programmed by a pro installer.

I realize this piece of equipment is pretty sophisticated and not something the average DIY person can tackle. I used to do coding in the early part of my of my IT career. I'm also involved in amateur road racing. We're putting together a Formula 2000 open wheeler. We are in the process of programming functionally into the car's data acquisition system to pull data from the car's ECU. With the goal to send information from it to the steering wheel's data display screen for the driver.

I'm sure there is a bit of a learning curve to learn the Pro Control Studio software to program the remote. But I think it's something well within my wheel house. Once I'm up to speed on the programming language. I can't believe it would be much harder that what I'm doing with the race car. It would just take a bit of time to learn the programming protocols. It would be a fun challenge. Would there be any way for me to acquire the the software to program this remote?

I saw that Pro Control has training videos, but they seem to only be available to installers. Just thinking outside the box. Could I become my own "Professional Installer" and register with Pro Control as such to gain access to their knowledge base and software? What is their definition of a professional installer, business license and tax ID?
