Hello.

I'm trying to program a Atlas 1056B01 remote to work with a Motorola 6412 cable box.

I've tried the suggestions found in this thread:

[Link: remotecentral.com]

and I've also tried all the other Motorola codes found in the 1056B01 manual:

0476, 0810, 0276, 1254, 1106, 1376

Still no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Sean

Did you do 982 procedure and got 4 blinks before trying other codes?

Yes.

At first I thought the remote might be bad, but I was able to program it to work with a Sony TV.

Just to be sure, are you suppose to do the 982 procedure before trying each of the codes?

Or do you just do it once, to unlock it, then try each of the codes?

I've actually tried both ways.

Thanks,

Sean

You do it once, and only need it done to change codes for cable box, wasn't needed to enter say a tv code. The 982 procedure is a toggle, do it once it unlocks, do it again and it locks. All you need to make sure is after doing it and you get 4 blinks, never do it again. Only cable companies care if the code is locked in, they don't want calls about cable remote no longer controlling the supplied box.
