Most codes for a particular brand don't change much year to year. Sometimes new functions come and go, but the basic ones typically remain the same for a long time.

As an example, I can take any remote from a 2014 Sony TV and it will operate the essential functions of a 1986 Sony TV.

Note that this may not be true for "off-brands" that source their electronics from random companies, meaning sets even of the same model year might not use the same codes.

Why do you need to know this? After obtaining this information, what do you do with it? If you're programming remotes with this information, what does it matter if you have 20 additional functions that don't apply to that particular model?

There are lots of codes for brands here, but no association with specific models. There's usually no need for that.

It's also pretty easy to mine the harmony database, but you have to do it one model at a time. And even then, they often have commands that don't apply.
